Submission Standards
1# The Map is yours, we do not wish to take any maps not submited by the Original Author, this includes maps with modifications or maps ripped off of someone elses work.
2# Maps must be of a high standard, if this is your first map we suggest that you first make contact on the C-GEN Forums and supply screenshots and give a bit of brief info to staff in the Terra Scope Public Forum Section. This is so that we can pre assess your map and not have to waste yours and our time punting maps back and forward. Things that make a map great are:
- Varied Terrain, not completely flat. There's some interesting terrain and its been used to change play on the map.
- Clear base areas, so that bases have plently of room to spread out. Nothing makes a horrible map like a small base area that doesn't allow base expansion.
- Fair Play, no sides or starting positions are given an unfair advantage. Players that get a tonne of resources when others get little or none is unfair, players that get backed into a corner to start with or cliffs towering around their base where others can take advanage isn't fair.
- Interesting design, the map is great to look at not just a clump of trees and a pile of dirt between starting positions.
- Unless its a "unique" design then realism is key, make the players believe they are really there. Nothing throws the belief it could be a real location out the window like tiling errors or a great big purple cow flying across the screen.
3# No Nuke Cows or Laser Guided Monkies, or anything like this. Resource Structures that supply enourmous amounts of credits are annoying and will rate lowly with most players.
4# Maps must be zipped with a program such as WinZip to make the filesize small.
5# Maps must contain a readme, a generic readme is available here for your use. Simply add the areas marked with the correct details and add to the zip file. If you are unsure of something feel free to ask.
